Sushmitha Sen Jacked Up By The Moral Police

Former Miss Universe and Bollywood diva Sushmita Sen has landed herself in trouble. Her forthrightness and frank attitude has landed her in a bush of thorns.

Ooops now you must be wondering why and what must have happened that the lady divine is in such a trouble.

Well, its because the lady expressed out her view on “Pre-marital” in a TV interview stating “No Indian has chastity or virginity any more”. These comments over pre-marital sex didn’t go down well with the legal authorities and moral police, who felt that such comments could affect the morality of India.

But then sush was only giving her opinion, and the Indian constitution states that every individual has the liberty to express his/her views.

Her comments have upset moral authorities so much that Madras High Court has issued a notice against her.

The petition sought to prosecute the actress under IPC Sections 292, 292B, 293 and 294 ( all pertaining to obscenity in print, words and songs), 499 and 500 ( which relate to defamation), besides Sections 3, 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act and 2, 3 and 6 of the Young Persons Harmful Publication Act.

Well, people don’t you think everybody has the right to express their views and this is not the first time that film stars have been attacked in Tamil Nadu by the moral police. Last year actors Khushboo, Shilpa Shetty and Reema Sen had been dragged to court.

Everybody has a right to do what they want to do, unless it drastically harms someone.

The moral authorities should be looking into more serious issues and concerns which affect the development of the country rather than pestering people like this.
