ShahRukh Khan in Trouble

ShahRukh Khan is in big trouble for his superhit movie Om Shanti Om. Well, the Veteran actor Manoj Kumar is very unhappy with the way his character has been portrayed in the movie. He has threatened to sue Shah Rukh Khan for aping him. He said that he will sue Shah Rukh and Farah Khan for what he alleges is a conspiracy to humiliate and ridicule him. Manoj Kumar told the CNN-IBN that ‘People who make such movies do not know the meaning of respect and decency. They are criminals’. There were many actors in the movie who were made fun of but they all took it very lightly but looks like Manoj Ji has taken this matter very seriously. He was shown being beaten up by the police outside a theatre is done in bad taste in the movie which made Manoj Kumar Ji very angry. Not just this but in another scene Shah Rukh Khan Gives a mock thank you speech in a drunken state and later say’s he’s Manoj Kumar. All these things made Manoj Kumar very angry and he is very upset with Farah Khan. He busted out at the Director by saying that ‘This is not film making’

I don’t think Farah Khan or Shah Rukh Khan had any bad intension while doing this but it has hurt the sentiments of an actor, let’s see what they do. But I surely think they will apologize to Manoj Kumar Ji for hurting him and then soon things will fall in place. But this what I think, let us wait and watch what will they actually do?

Cold War between Amitabh Bacchan and SRK

Amitabh Bacchan and ShahRukh Khan are not on good terms with each other. The Big B of Bollywood is angry with King Khan for some unknown reason. The two of them don’t seem to be very happy on meeting each other, it looks like more of a cold war between the two. Recently at the Police Fest which was held in Andheri Mumbai has both these stars present and Amitabh Bacchan was seen sitting with his son and Daughter-in-law, However when ShahRukh Khan entered the function with his Om Shanti Om team it caused irritation to Amitabh Bacchan for some reason and he didn’t even bother to look at SRK. Not only that but when King Khan held out his hand to Mr. Bacchan he just got up and left. Now! That’s very bad. Isn’t it?

Well, the reason behind the cold war is not known but we are guessing that it might be because Mr. Bacchan is angry with Sharukh for snatching away his film Don. It was also said that this was the reason why Mr. Bacchan did not call Shah Rukh Khan for his Son’s marriage? Well, we cannot say anything more than that so, let’s keep guessing…….. .

Will AAJA NACHLE get a smooth multiplex release?

Those familiar with the happenings in Bollywood, especially in the distribution/exhibition sector will remember how the multiplexes were humbled by the Chopras during the time of FANAA, DHOOM:2 and other Yash Raj films. They forced the multiplexes to give higher revenue share than that given to other producers (and rightfully so!), due to the enviable track record of their banner.

However, 2007 has not been as good for the Yash Raj films, as compared to the last few years. While CHAKDE! INDIA did superbly at the multiplexes, their other two ventures, JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM and LAAGA CHUNARI MEIN DAAG were duds and entailed heavy losses. Even TA RA RUM PUM drew crowds, but mainly in the multiplexes of Bombay.

The above being the case, the multiplexes feel that it is now their turn to dictate terms to the Chopras. In fact, as per trade and distribution inputs, many multiplex owners/chains are contemplating about forgoing their forthcoming venture, AAJA NACHLE, but that, in case Yash Raj act tough again!

OM SHANTI OM creates history of Indian cinema

Junior Hrithik to arrive next year

Good News in the Roshan Family. Sussane Roshan is Pregnant with her second child. Hrithik Roshan will be on Cloud 9 after his junior arrives. The couple is already blessed with a baby boy Hrehaan and soon he will be joined by another partner. The baby is expected to arrive next year in June. Hrithik had said that his baby was very lucky for him, when his wife was pregnant with his first child. Let’s see if the next baby too proves lucky for him. Well, right now its time for celebration in the Roshan Family.

Shahrukh Khan Made OSO a Big Hit

Om Shanti Om has proved be a greater hit than Saawariya. The review that it has got is good and better than Saawariya but it has not turned out to be as it was expected. The movie’s total credit goes to Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika. A Farah Khan movie has lot of expectations but when she has Shah Rukh Khan she need not worry. After the first show of the movie, most of the people said that it was Shah Rukh Khan who made the movie a big hit. The major attraction of the movie was SRK with his six-pack which drew most of the crowd to choose between Saawariya and OSO.

SRK told CNN-IBN in an interview ‘So far I think people have really liked it and they are loving it. But I could be completely wrong. Though, normally I am not wrong. I have been a part of many good and successful films’ and isn’t he right? Most of the people are only talking about SRK. Well, so most of the credit goes to SRK.

Om Shanti Om is better than Saawariya

Om Shanti Om is based on the idea of incarnation. It surely is more lively and interesting than Saawariya. The opening of Om Shanti Om was really good. The advance bookings of both the movies were good but according to the people who watched the movies most of them felt that Om Shanti OM was better than Saawariya. The vice president of fun republic said that ‘Om Shanti Om has an edge over Saawariya this weekend but Saawariya too has opened up well.’ Vinod Mirani who is a film trade analyst says that Festival season is benefiting both the films, but eventually the better will sustain and Om Shanti Om is a better bet and mass appealing’.

If we see according to the plot then also OSO is better because it has a plot whereas Saawariya does not have a proper plot. It is said that many people opted to watch Saawariya because they could not get the tickets for OSO. The movie has just been released let us see how the battle between Saawariya and OSO goes on in the coming days.

Saawariya Turns Out To Be Disappointing

The year’s most awaited movie turns out to be truly Disappointing. The movie starts in a small town which doesn’t look like a town at all, it looks a beautiful set of Arabian times. The movie revolves around two characters who meet each other near a bridge and the boy (Ranbir Kapoor) falls in love with the girl (Sonam Kapoor). They become good friends and later the girl tells him that she loves someone else (Salman khan) and she is waiting for him. The boy is crazily in love with her and doesn’t want to loose her. He spends time singing and dancing with her. His love is put to test when the girl asks him to help her find her love and finally the girl succeeds in finding her love and goes off with him, leaving the poor champ alone. You must be wondering where is Rani Mukherjee in the story? She plays the role of a prostitute who is in love with Ranbir and keeps popping out after every second scene

It’s a very strange kind of a movie which is unexpected to be directed by a director like Sanjay Leela Bansali. It’s really shocking to believe that it is a movie by the same director who gave us Black. The movie has no story, no proper plot and most interestingly no daylight. The movie has throughout scenes which have been shot at night, it does not have a single scene at the day time. The movie can be watched only once and that too because of Sonam and Ranbir they look really cute in the movie, apart from that there is nothing for which the movie can be appreciated.

Sonam Kapoor to Star Opposite Abhishek Bacchan

She’s just a new comer and in her second movie she is getting a chance to work with Abhishek Bacchan. I’m talking about Sonam Kapoor. Her movie Saawariya is not yet released and she has signed a movie opposite Abhishek Bacchan. She will be doing Delhi 6 opposite Jr. Bacchan. The movie is directed by Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra. Sonam is really lucky to get a Rakeysh Mehra Movie in her second film. We still do not know much about the movie as it has not been revealed. Lets wait and watch for the promos to be out.

Saawariya v/s Om Shanti Om

The two most awaited movies of the year are set to release on 9th November. Both the movies are very powerful and they are releasing on the same date. Om Shanti Om is about reincarnation and Saawariya is a love story. Let us see the two reasons why people would watch these two movies for? The first reason for the movie Saawariya is the two new comers Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor as the lead pair and second is that it is a movie by Sanjay Leela Bansali. As for Om Shanti Om we all know the biggest reason is the King Khan of the industry and again it’s a Farah Khan movie which always has an unusual story. This time another attraction in the movie is the leading lady Deepika Padukone.

Ash, Abhishek and Amitabh at Mumbai Police Diwali Function

The Diwali Function was held at the Andheri sports complex and the event proved to be a great event because most of the stars of Bollywood were present there. Even though stars like Priyanka Chopra, Esha Doel, Shahrukh Khan, Urmila Matondkar, Meghna Naidu, Nisha Kothari, Saif Ali Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Raza Murad, the latest sensational new comer on block Sonam Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Mallika Shrewat were all present there but all the eyes were on the Bacchan Family. The newly wedded couple got the most attention. Aishwarya and Abhishek were looking very cute, especially Ash who sported a traditional look and she looked like a typical Bahurani. She looked extremely gorgeous in a red sari and Abhishek complemented her in a Black suit. Recently Aishwarya celebrated her birthday with the Bacchan family in Agra where she was shooting for her movie Taj Mahal. Apart from the celebrity Couple, there were many good performances which were seen. All that we can say is the show was a success because of the stars present there.

“I’m looking forward to watch OSO as the promos are quite exciting compared to Saawariya. It looks like a complete masala entertainer - a total paisa vasool film. The chemistry between Deepika and SRK is looking great. I and my friends have already started looking for tickets for the film. I hope OSO does better than Saawariya.

Reshmii Ghosh (Bhoomi from Kyunki)

“Definitely OSO. I would love to see how SRK romances Deepika. I have heard a lot of things about her. I am also eager to watch how Farah has managed to blend drama, emotions, comedy and all in this flick and also the song with 31 stars. I am willing to buy a ticket in black if I don’t get it. Bhansali is also a good director and his films are grand with a very good concept but I will watch Saawariya later.”

“I want to watch Saawariya because both the debutants are very cute. Also, the sets of the film are marvellous just like Black. When I watched Black I was moved to tears. I am hoping that the story of this film will also be very touching. About OSO, I like its songs but I will wait for feedback from my friends and then decide. I know how SRK acts but Deepika might be a surprise package.”

Sonam Kapoor has been signed opposite Abhishek Bachchan

Sonam Kapoor has been signed opposite Abhishek Bachchan for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Dilli 6. This will be Sonam's second film after Saawariya and once again she will be featuring alongside a star son.

A close associate of the Rang De Basanti maker revealed to us, "The subject was jointly narrated to both Sonam and her dad, Anil Kapoor by Mehra. Immediately after he finished his narration, both Anil and Sonam instantly gave their nod to the film.”

There was a strong industry buzz earlier about Deepika Padukone being considered for the film and that Vidya Balan had turned down Mehra's offer. But by signing Sonam before Saawariya's release Mehra has surprised many. Looks like in the OSO – Saawariya clash, Bhansali's discovery has scored over Deepika by bagging the prized assignment.

The bearded maker was not willing to comment about him signing Sonam for the film when we tried contacting him. But we learnt from our sources in UTV, the producers of Dilli 6, that Sonam has been offered a fantastic price for the film which is not a norm while signing newcomers. Being an industry veteran, Anil is helping his daughter take every single move in Bollywood. He is making it a point to sit for every story narration session with her when makers come to offer her a project. 'I want Sonam to do only quality films' – is what he had expressed recently.

Dilli 6 is not an autobiographical account of Mehra's life, as is being speculated. The reason behind the strange title is that it is the postal code of Delhi's historical Chandni Chowk area, where the movie is based. The principle photography of the film began during the Eid period few weeks back. The main shoot is expected to begin next month.

Indian cricket vice captain Yuvraj Singh's connection with Bollywood heroines never seems to end. He was with actress Kim Sharma for a few years. However, rumourmongers took the stage following his breakup with her. It was reported that he was going out with Om Shanti Om heroine Deepika Padukone late at night even though Mahendra Singh Dhoni has openly expressed his crush for her. Now, another news is doing the rounds that he had an affair with super model Anjali Pandey. It is said that they fell for each other during the shooting of Hero Honda commercials.

Yuvi is aggressive on the field but he is slow off the field. He kept his silence when the news of his late nightout with Deepika hit the headlines. Once again, he is keeping silent on his alleged affair with Anjali Pandey. This time, Anjali has spoken out in the open for everyone to know that she did not sleep with him. She admitted that she should have taken a step further if he was not seeing Kim Sharma because she had a crush on him. She also said that they flirted but did not have any physical relationship.

OM SHANTI OM procured by Rajshri and Ashtavinayak

It is a well known fact that the world rights of Farah Khan's, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Rampal starrer, OM SHANTI OM, have been bought by EROS International. Though the general belief is that the 'Diwali' extravaganza will be distributed by EROS, both in India and the overseas, that is only partly true.

As per distribution sources, EROS will distribute the movie in the Overseas (almost fully), whereas in India, it has sold the distribution rights for many circuits. While Rajshri Pictures will distribute it in C.P. Berar, Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. has procured the rights for Gujarat, Saurashtra and Thane.

Rajshri and Shree Ashtavinayak are big names in filmmaking themselves and the above mentioned deals show their confidence in OM SHANTI OM.
